As a true devotee to lord Krishna this was really an amazing event to visit the newly made iconic Kirti Mandir of Barsana. As the news flashed of the opening ceremony of this magnificent temple I was planning to visit the Kirti Mandir since March and eventually we were blessed with the visit of this holy place. In the present blog I would like to share my experiences of Mathura and Barsana tour specially this great temple tour.

Barsana is a renowned historical and religious town of Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. It is located at the elevation of 182 meters. This Place has prime importance with the Krishna followers as this town is supposed to be the village of Radhaji, the consort of Lord Krishna. There are numerous temples in the times but to major is Radha Rani temple based on a hill. Rdhaji was the daughter of Vrishbhanu Maharaja a close friend of Nand ji. Nand ji is the foster father of Lord Krishna. The legends say as Nandjee shifted from Nandgaon from Gokul. So Vrishbhanu ji also shifted from Raval to Barsana. Radha and Krishna love is form of devotion and dedication. In Barsana you can visit the other famous temples such as Man Mandir, Sankari Khor, Rangeeli Mahal.

Temples of Mathura and Vrindavan

Good news for Shri Radha Ji & Lord Krishna devotees from all around the world is the visit of Kirti Mandir during Mathura Vrindavan Tour. I along with my friends planned for this tour of The Kirti Temple Barsana which has been opened for public since Feb 14 2019. This is the only temple of the world which is dedicated to Kirti Maa who according to the legends is considered to be the Mother of Shri Radha ji.

It took almost one and half hour when we reached Mathura and planned for visiting few selected temples like Krishna Janambhoomi and Dwarkadheesh temple. We did not approach Vrindavan on account of busy schedule and keeping in mind the closer time of the temples in Barsana from 12 to 4 pm as is the regular case with most of the temples In the brijbhoomi area.

Kirti Mandir of Radha Krishna at Barsana

As we approached Barsana the home town of Shri Radha ji the daughter of Brisbhan Ji we had the chantings and the prosody coming to the ears all around Radhe Krishna. The very first sight of the temple captured my eyes and my heart throbbed for my dedication to Krishna and Radha and I could not stop uttering myself hare Krishna Hare Radha.

The temple in itself with the grand scale of architecture and the magnificent rock cut carvings done out of pale and buff colored sandstone captivated my heart and I was immersed in deep devotion as it is commonly said ‘a thing of beauty is a joy forever’. Visiting inside the sanctum I found the statue of baby Radha sitting in the lap of her mother which is the only kind of statue in the world.

Interiors of the temple are richly decorated with beautiful carvings, paintings, and the exteriors with beautiful fountains etc.

“Madhuban Me Radhika Nache”

There is a newly launched Musical Album “Madhuban” which has a party number “Madhuban me Radhika Nache” featuring Sunny Leone. The song is sung by Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakravarty. The song is supposed to hurt the Hindu sentiments on the charge of sensual appeal in her dance. This has been launched on December 22, 2021. There has been a classical hit song “Madhuban me Radhika Nache” in the movie Kohinoor featured on Mega star of the time. Dilip Kumar and Meena Kumari in 1960. The new song is initiated by music level Saregama.

There is a great resentment among the Hindu devotee and saint over the new song “Madhuban me Radhika “ and note Hindu saints like Sant Naval Giri Ji maharaj and others proclaim to ban this sang and take down this obscene music video. The music of this Album is composed by Saqib Toshi and the Hindu organizations consider it to offered their religious feelings.
