8 Days Hemkund Sahib Yatra Itinerary

Day 1:- Arrival at Delhi - Rishikesh

Pickup from Delhi hotel / airport. After meeting and greeting you will start your drive for Rishikesh. Reach Rishikesh, be welcomed by our representative check in at hotel. Evening is at leisure overnight at Rishikesh.

Day 2:- Rishikesh - Joshimath

Today after breakfast we start our drive across the spiraling roads of the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand driving across Devprayag- Srinagar- Rudraprayag all the way to Joshimath. Overnight at Joshimath.

Day 3:- Joshimath - Ghaghariya

Today after breakfast we leave for Gobind Ghat the base camp from where we start our trek to the snow clad Hemkund sahib. Leave your unnecessary accoutrements either with driver or at a locker at Govindghat Gurudwara. After leaving the taxi we start our trek off to Ghagariya. Ghagariya is 16 kms from Gobind Ghat the initial 3 kms can be done by riding the local taxis which charge nominal 50 per person, from Pulna the Ghagariya (Gobind Dham) is a trek of 13 kms with quite a steep incline. If desirous you can hire and ride a Pony from Pulna. The helicopter service is also available from Gobind Ghat all the way to Ghagariya. This helicopter comfortably takes a group of 4-5 people and reaches its destination in just 10 minutes. If you are scaling this 13 kms trek on foot then do remember to carry a few chocolates/ toffees which serve as energy boosters. Enjoying the fauna and flora and the scenic beauty of snow clad Himalayan peaks you will reach Ghagariya. Overnight at a hotel in Ghagariya.

Day 4:- Ghaghariya

Today early morning again we start our trek for Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara from Ghagariya. The trek is 6 kms and is even more arduous to undertake. Do remember to pack a raincoat as this part of Himalaya is prone to incessant rains. After trekking for around 4-5 hours you will reach the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara here after taking a bath in the Amrit sarovar head for the kirtan darbar at the Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib. Attend the Ardaas (Ardaas is held twice at the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, the first Ardas is held at 9:00 am second at 12:15 pm) After Ardas join in for piping hot food at the langar hall. Also visit the laxman temple at Hemkund sahib. Now is the time to resume trek back to Ghagariya. Overnight at Ghagariya.

Day 5:- Ghaghariya - Joshimath

Today we will start our 16 kms trek back to the Gobind ghat. Here you can take a helicopter which again will take bare 10 minutes to reach Gobind Ghat. Your driver will meet you at Gobind Ghat he will drive you all the way to Joshimath. Overnight at a hotel in Joshimath.

Day 6:- Joshimath - Rishikesh

After breakfast we start our drive all the way to Rishikesh. Overnight at Rishikesh.

Day 7:- Rishikesh - Haridwar

After breakfast we start exploring Rishikesh a city where the divine river Ganges touches the plains of India. Rishikesh is famous for many temples and the Ram/ Laxman Jhoola bridges. After having lunch at Chotiwala a famous restaurant of Rishikesh we set off to Haridwar here again we visit famous temples and the Har ki pauri. Attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri in the evening. Overnight at Haridwar.

Day 8:- Haridwar - Delhi

Today after breakfast we set off to Delhi our driver will leave you at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey. Our tour ends.
