Sri Lanka wildlife Tour Itinerary

Day 1:- Arrive Colombo

Upon arrival at the international airport of Colombo you will be received by the company representative and transfer to your pre-booked hotel. This day is free to enjoy the independent activities at hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02:- Colombo - Sinharaja

Enjoy the breakfast and then proceed to Sinharaja Rain forest which is a world heritage site. This is one of the last viable area of the country where most of the trees are endemic. This is the best site for watching rare endemic species and Bird watching as this place is also the home of more than 90 percent endemic birds in the country. After the visit you will e driven towards the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03:- Udawalawe

Enjoy your breakfast and then you will proceed to visit the Udawalawa national park which is the third most visited park in the country. The prime attraction of this park Is to live watching the Sri Lankan elephants and water bird. Here you will enjoy the elephant safari which is unique experience for each traveler and they can enjoy their games, rides, bathing, feeding etc. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 04:- Bundala National Park

After the breakfast you will be leaving for Bundala national park which is the best site for watching existing crocodiles in the country. This is a perfect destination for watching waterways, lagoons and dunes. Here you can enjoy the safari where you can see thousands of flamingos, Indian cormorant, black necked stork and largest numbers of large flocks’ species of birds. This park also contains 48 reptile species and around 32 mammals’ species. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 05:- Yala

Today early morning you will be leaving for watching the Yala wildlife sanctuary. This site is famous for the conservation of Srilankan elephants, Sri lankan leopards and other aquatic birds. This park is also housing Deer, Sambhar, wild boar, sloth bears etc. The best part of this safari is to watching the young leopard from an open jeep safari. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 06:- Yala - Nuwara Eliya

This day you will be leaving for Nuwra Eliya which is the most beautiful hill station of the country. In some reference this place is also called Little England. This area is known for the largest production of tea in the country. Here you will enjoy the visit of a tea factory where the best Ceylon tea produced. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 07:- Horton Plains & Kandy

Post breakfast you will be leaving for the same day excursions tour of “Horton Plains” which is the famous national park and considered as most important watershed in the country. The most interesting site here to visit is World’s end located on the height of 1000 feet where you can see beautiful waterfalls and many pools. This national park is also the home of many birds and mammals such as dear, sambhar, leopard, jackal, blue magpies and Black eagles. After the visit you will be leaving to Kendy. Upon reaching visit the world famous tooth relic temple of kendy where you can see the sacred tooth of Buddha. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 08:- Wasgamuwa & Knuckle Valley

Post breakfast you will be leaving for Wasgamuwa via knuckles valley which is a major eco tourism area spread in an area of 155 sq km which also contains wide variety of rare and endemic flora and fauna. This is a lush green mountain range where travelers enjoying the mountain biking, trekking and various mountain activities in the lap of nature. Here you will also explore the dense forest, waterfalls, lush tea plantations and colourfull kandyan home gardens. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 09:- Wasgamuwa - Negombo

Enjoy the breakfast at hotel, you will be leaving for the visit of Wasgamuwa national park while travelling inside the dense forest you will watching the pythons, crocodiles and reptiles in the water pools of the park, This park is also housing ancient Buduruwayaya ruins where you can found 1800 years old Buddhist sculptures and statues found on a big rock. Some tourist are also enjoying the camping activities here to come closer to the nature trails. After the visit you will be travelling to Negombo which is a traditional fishing town in the country. Eevening explore the local markets and enjoy some shopping before saying good bye to this beautiful country.

Day 10:- Colombo Departure

Post breakfast you will be leaving for the Colombo airport to catch your return flight for the onwards journey.
