Treachery– The story of Taj mahal also reveals the truth of treachery-treachery done by the prince to the throne, treachery done by the son to the Father Monarch. It is evident that as Shahjahan grew old after the Completion of The Taj, his son Aurangzeb conspired against Shahjahan. When Shahjahan declared his eldest Son Dara Shikoh as the heir apparent, his third son Aurangzeb who was over-ambitious disliked the idea and hatched conspiracies against his father and against the brothers.

By the shrewd tricks, he removed the obstacles of his brothers and got his father a house captive in the Agra Fort for power. This place of his house arrest is in the Agra Fort which you can visit in your Agra Tour with your Tour Guide. Your tour guide will narrate to you the stories of treachery love and hatred. He imposed so many sanctions on the liberty of his father.

Hatred- Imagine how a man can mature such hatred in the core of his heart and can involve in the gruesome murder of his own brother, as Aurangzeb did! How cruel a man can be to put his own father in house arrest and depriving him of the amenders and forcing him to lead the life in desolation.

Loyalty- The story of Taj Mahal is full of Loyalty-the loyalties of subjects to the emperor. Imagine how the people used to be restless without seeing the face of their favorite ruler from the Jharokha? The emperor Shahjahan abstained himself from appearing in Jharokha for a long period after the loss of his consort. Similarly, this is story of the loyalty of a daughter for his father and for the throne. Imagine the princess Jahan-Ara supporting her father in Mussaman Burj against the will of his powerful brother.

Remorse- The story becomes very grim with the feeling of remorse. As is the case with all humans when we lose some near and dear, a feeling of a deep sense of remorse appeals to the bereaved members. The same feelings strike the heart of the emperor when he loses his a dear wife and his heart cleaves into parts giving way to heart-rendering elegy.

Repentance- It is a popular human dictum that the bad deeds come to you back. This is the basis of theology also. One has to repent over the past bargains. Similar happened with Aurangzeb while at the time of his death realizing his mistakes he utters the common truth at his death abed that he could not do anything better in his life. Neither could he prove himself a better ruler, or father or son.

Greed- As the common dictum prevails- “Avarice is the root Cause of all disease” is very apt and suggestive. It was the greed of Aurangzeb that caused most of the troubles to the mughal dynasty and ultimately the decline of this regime. In your Taj Mahal Tour your tour guide will explain to you how his avarice for power, money, a throne made him lame from senses and ultimately friends turned to be foes. Thus he lost the common support.
