The recent scenario of agitations and skirmish over the citizenship amendment Act (CAB) brought a massive disaster across the country. After my academics, i chose a career in tourism and pursing it since almost 22 years. In these two decades’ time, I could not even realize how am i dependent on the Internet or Google. Just a week ago while on account of the precautionary measure the Internet services were stopped, all my activities came to standstill. I felt I am missing something.
The question arouses in the mind- how to involve myself in some creative work? Even my professional activities were hampered. I have to run hither and thither so that i can found internet access just to check my emails and to respond to them. I was unable to find the net services close to me. I can imagine how much losses the country may have suffered when the banks were not operating.
People were not able to purchase e-commerce websites or order any food by Swiggy and other popular sites. The mode of payments and transactions failed. The taxi drivers owing ola or uber had no work without Internet services.
